About the Symposium

THE HISTORY OF INTERNATIONAL RESEARCH SYMPOSIUMON THE TURKIC WORLD

 

        The aim of the International Research Symposium on the Turkic World is to bring scientists together doing research on Turkic World, create an opportunity to share and discuss their scientific views and qualitative expansion of Turkic world literature by discovering new paths for new researches.

        It is planned that Symposium will focus on the topics which interest the Turkic World in the disciplines of language, pedagogy, literature, history, culture, the arts, international relations, economics, philosophy, sociology, gender studies and scientists will exchange of views on natural sciences. It is intended to prepare the ground for joint projects which will be held in the Turkic World in the future.

        The symposium aims at gathering the Turkic people, to strengthen their relationships and ensuring peace and tranquility in the world through cultural events.

        It should be noted that, the International Research Symposium on the Turkic world for the first time was held at Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (formerly known as «Niğde University») with the collaboration of Kazakh State Women`s Teacher Training University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and M. Akmullah Bashkir State Pedagogical University (Ufa, Russia) on March 18-21, 2014. In the symposium 356 presentations from 18 countries were presented.

        The 2nd International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was hosted by Kazakh State Women’s Teacher Training University with the collaboration of the same partners on May 20-22, 2015 in Almaty. There were 300 presentations from 12 countries in the symposium.

The 3rd International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was organized by Baku Eurasian University (Baku, Azerbaijan) with the support of Yunus Emre Institute on May 25-27, 2016 with the collaboration of the same partners. About 700 applications with presentations were submitted to the symposium from 13 countries and 413 of them were accepted for the presentation at the symposium.

The 4th International Research Symposium on the Turkic World was held in Niğde on April 26-28, 2017 organized by Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (Niğde, Turkey) with the collaboration of Kazakh State Women’s Teacher Training University (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and Baku Eurasian University (Baku, Azerbaijan). About 450 applications with presentations were submitted to the symposium from 15 countries.

The festival «Tubimiz bir Turikpiz » (We are Turks of the same root) has been traditionally organized since 2014 by students of partner universities. As well as the exhibition which shows the cultural structure of Turkic World, the participants will also visit the historical and cultural heritages sites under the social activities program during the symposium.
