    • The youth debate movement will be revived

NUR-SULTAN. February 22. Press center – The Ministry of Education and Science is reviving the debate movement in schools, colleges and universities. This was announced by the head of the department Askhat Aimagambetov on his Facebook page.

According to him, at present, the knowledge base alone is not enough for comprehensive development.

«It is important that everyone uses the knowledge and skills they have acquired. At the same time, debate games and mechanisms of school self-government form these abilities», the Minister wrote.

According to Aimagambetov, the debate is not just an intellectual game, it is an educational technology that develops critical thinking skills, correct analysis of information, teamwork, asking questions and giving clear answers.

«Participants in the game can then easily distinguish between propaganda and populist ideas and communicate their position to the public through concrete arguments. This experience also helps young people to be critical of the daily flow of information. By interacting with each other, children strengthen their social ties and trust in each other», Aimagambetov added.

The Minister of Education noted that in order to achieve success in the debate, it is important to have a vision, strong character, the desire to defend their position. To do this, you need to read a lot of books, watch educational programs, be able to communicate, constantly work on the development of argumentation skills.
