      How are the entrance exams to the doctoral program?

      ALMATY. April 30. Press center – When applying to doctoral programs, special attention is paid to essay writing and written exam.

      This year, the entrance exams to doctoral school will be held in electronic format for the first time. Documents for admission to the doctoral program are accepted through the information system of the National Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The certificate on grant assignment will be given out in electronic format in a personal office of each entrant.

      Persons with a master's degree and work experience of not less than 9 months, as well as candidates who have completed residency training in medical specialties may enter the doctoral program.

      – When registering the applicant fills out a questionnaire, indicates one university, one group of educational programs and chooses the place to take the exam. The schedule of entrance exams is brought to the attention of applicants three days before the exam. Candidates will write an essay on the computer, take a test to prepare for doctoral studies and an exam on the profile of the group of educational programs, – said Vice Minister of Education and Science Miras Daulenov.

      The final score of the entrance exam is a composite of scores obtained by summing up the results of the essay, the doctoral preparation test, and the assessment of the profile exams.

      Recall that admission to the doctoral program will begin July 3 and will continue until August 3. Entrance examinations for doctoral studies will be held from August 4 to 20.
