      ALMATY. 10 JANUARY. PRESS CENTER – The 10th of January was declared the Day of National Mourning in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

      President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev decided to declare 10 January 2022 the day of national mourning in connection with the numerous human casualties as a result of tragic events in a number of regions of Kazakhstan.

      Today in Kazakhstan all national flags will be half-masted in the memory of victims among peaceful civilians, law enforcers and military personnel killed in the mass riots across the country.

      The Staff and the students of Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University express their heartful condolences to the relatives of citizens, passed away from mass disturbances and the act of terrorism.

      Great heroism and staunchness demonstrated by the army and police officers, died for the protection of our Homeland, will never be forgotten. 

      We all share the same Homeland.

      The future of the country is in the hands of its citizens.
