On December 7, 2022, with the organization of the Department of Special Pedagogy of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, an international scientific and practical conference was organized on the topic : Scientific and Practical Conference «Traditions and innovation in professional development of special teacher ", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the veteran of the national special pedagogical science, Professor Kutzhan Omirbekova.

The purpose of the conference: to determine the format and content of the interaction of theory and practice, traditions and innovations in inclusive and special education (in the context of the scientific heritage of K.K.Omirbekova) - for the effective professional development of a teacher.

The Chairman of the Board – Rector of Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University, Amirkhanovna Gulmira a Kanai opened the conference with a congratulatory speech, especially noting the worthy work of the hero of the day on the way to achieving high goals in the field of special education. Amirkhanovna Gulmira solemnly presented K.K. Omirbekova with a "Certificate of Honor" from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurbek Sayasat.
