    • Developing the Research Potential of Future Teachers: Meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association at QYZPU

      November 10, 2023 in the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University hosted a meeting of the Educational and Methodological Association - Project Management Group dedicated to the development of research potential of future teachers. The event, chaired by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Erkyn Zhumankulova, gathered 21 representatives of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participating both online and offline.

      Three key areas were considered at the meeting: "012 - Preschool training and education", "013 - Training of teachers without subject specialization" and "018 - Training of specialists in social pedagogy and self-knowledge". The main topic of the discussion was " Development of the research potential of future teachers: ways to prepare reflective teachers".

      Vice-Rector for scientific work and international cooperation, Zakir Dzhumakulov, made a presentation on "Integration into the global research space". Also, Director of the Department of development of academic programs and quality assurance, Aida Meirkulova, shared her experience in using the Lesson Study method for the development of future teachers.

                                                                                    

      The session also included presentations by experts in the field of pedagogy and science. Prof. Saira Zhienbaeva (L.N. Gumilev ENU) spoke about the potential and challenges of students' research activities. Aisulu Shayakhmetova (Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University) presented innovations in social policy of the university through the center of preschool education.

      Other reports included topics such as the development of intellectual potential of students of pedagogical specialties, the use of diploma projects for practice-oriented learning, the development of research reflexivity of future social pedagogues and the reflexive abilities of future teachers through qualitative research.

      The participants of the meeting actively discussed the presented reports, made their recommendations and suggestions, which contributed to the exchange of experience and stimulation of innovations in the field of pedagogy in Kazakhstan. The meeting of the Training and Methodological Association at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University demonstrated a keen interest in developing the research potential of future teachers, emphasizing the importance of training reflective professionals in education.
