      The Institute of Arts and Management, the Department of Library Science and Bibliography organized a meeting between graduates and employers of the department. The head of the Methodological Department of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulmira Abylaykhanovna Mahanbetova, and the Director of the Centralized Library System of Almaty, Roza Kasymbekovna Kabieva, participated on behalf of the employers.

      The event was attended by graduates of the department. The meeting was organized in order to attract students to work in their specialties. The employer side today spoke in detail about the relevance of the library profession in the labor market in each region of Kazakhstan, told about their organizations and the opportunities that open up today for students.

      In addition, students were able to share their opinions and ask questions. The information received during the meeting today allowed us to confirm the high demand for library professionals, including library staff.

      At the end of the event, the guests wished the students success in their studies and further employment, as well as further success in their work aimed at improving knowledge and skills in their future professional activities and the development of library science in Kazakhstan.

      Report from a meeting with employees in the specialties 5B091000 - "Library Science", 6B03201 - " Library Science"

      On February 25, 2021, a meeting with employers on the educational program 5B091000 - "Library Science", 6b03201 - "Library Science" to discuss the draft educational programs for the 2021-2022 academic year.

      The head of the Methodological Department of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gulmira Abylaykhanovna Mahanbetova, and the Director of the Centralized Library System of Almaty, Roza Kasymbekovna Kabieva, participated on behalf of the employers. The educational program has been changed to 30% of the programs of the previous year. A comparative analysis of the curricula of the St. Petersburg State Institute of Culture, the Kemerovo State Institute of Culture, and the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts is carried out. The training program is designed in accordance with all the requirements of the specialty. Within the framework of the program of additional education" specialist of the automated library and information system", students are recommended to study programs for the study of electoral information resources, design, implementation of automated library and information systems with professional competencies.

      On the part of employers, there were opinions that there are more subjects in the field of marketing, managers who demonstrate the new look of libraries.
