      ALMATY. July 1. Press center – It is planned to hire young teachers-graduates of universities only after passing the National Qualification Tests.

      This innovation is aimed at improving the quality of teaching staff. Qualification testing allows  to determine the levels of knowledge and methods of teaching of the university graduates.

      – This innovation is being implemented so that qualified teachers can give our children a high-quality education. University graduates who have completed their studies this year, and teachers who have not yet worked at school, must pass the National Qualification Test. It is planned to hire only those graduates who have passed the test and scored the necessary points. After confirming their qualifications in the National Qualification Test, graduates can demonstrate their professional skills within the walls of the school. This innovation applies only to people who want to complete their studies and work as teachers. That is, these requirements are not imposed on existing teachers, – said Myra Meldebekova, the chairman of the Committee of Preschool and Secondary Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

      Kazakh universities have been instructed to arrange information and explanatory work among graduates about the expediency and necessity of the innovations. The national qualification testing hasstarted. To pass the test, you need to register in advance on the website of the National Testing Center.

      Since 2020, the requirements for graduates wishing to enroll in universities in pedagogical specialities have been tightened. If earlier the threshold score for future teachers was 50, now the threshold score has increased to 75. The amount of the scholarship has also been increased from 26 thousand to 42 thousand tenge. It is worth noting that from September of this year, scholarships for all students of the country will increase by 20%.
