      The university student won 1-dan black belt in karate

      ALMATY. December 8. Press center – The success of the University in sports has been supplemented by another award. Nurziya Nazarova, a first-year student majoring in «Physical Culture and Sports» became a silver medalist of the Republican Cup «Kyokushin Budokai Karate». The athlete also won 1-dan black belt in world-class karate.

      About 100 athletes from all over the country took part in the competition in Nur-Sultan.

      The purpose of the Cup, which is held 4 times a year, is to identify the best in karate, to promote the skills of talented young people.

      On the competition, Nurziya met with athletes from Nur-Sultan, Semey and Karaganda, and due to her tactical skills she overcame her opponents.

      The girl has been practicing karate for 7 years. During this time, she won regional, national and international competitions.

      Nurziya's goal is to perform at the world level and win in the future. She also wants to open a special sports school in the future, which will contribute to the development of this sport in the country and train young athletes.

      – Karate develops not only the speed of the body, but also the agility of the mind, that is, the ability to think. This sport is not just a fight, but a deep philosophy. Strength is not only in the wrist, but also in restraint and time. Only when you master these principles, you will succeed, – says Nurziya Nazarova.
