      ALMATY. December 8. Press center – The success of the University in sports has been supplemented by another award. Nurziya Nazarova, a first-year student majoring in «Physical Culture and Sports» became a silver medalist of the Republican Cup «Kyokushin Budokai Karate». The athlete also won 1-dan black belt in world-class karate.

      About 100 athletes from all over the country took part in the competition in Nur-Sultan.

      The purpose of the Cup, which is held 4 times a year, is to identify the best in karate, to promote the skills of talented young people.

      On the competition, Nurziya met with athletes from Nur-Sultan, Semey and Karaganda, and due to her tactical skills she overcame her opponents.

      The girl has been practicing karate for 7 years. During this time, she won regional, national and international competitions.

      Nurziya's goal is to perform at the world level and win in the future. She also wants to open a special sports school in the future, which will contribute to the development of this sport in the country and train young athletes.

      Karate develops not only the speed of the body, but also the agility of the mind, that is, the ability to think. This sport is not just a fight, but a deep philosophy. Strength is not only in the wrist, but also in restraint and time. Only when you master these principles, you will succeed, says Nurziya Nazarova.
