      Madina Eralieva was born on August 2, 1954 in the Kazaly district of the Kyzylorda region.

      In 1978 she graduated with honors from the music faculty of the Kazakh State Women's Teacher Training University.

      She began her career in 1978 as a researcher at the Institute of Literature and Art of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1985 until the end of her life she worked as a soloist of the Almaty Regional Philharmonic.

      With her thin, raspy voice and original style, she became the favorite singer of the people. Folk songs performed by Madina Eralieva, such as «Aikarakoz», «Akbayan», «Zhylky innde ala zhur» and works of Kazakh composers such as «Kiresin zhiyid tusime», «Sagym zhyldar», «Kuren kuz», have a peculiar manner of performance... She was remembered by the audience for her original performance and national style.

      The folk singer died in a car accident on November 27, 2000.

      Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, laureate of the World Festival of Youth and Students.

      Madina Eralieva, who devoted her life to art, made a significant contribution to the popularization of the national singing art of our people and was remembered for her originality.
