      ALMATY. FEBRUARY 16. PRESS CENTER – What are the problems in training music specialists? What should be a priority in modern education and upbringing? These questions were discussed at the meeting of the Chair of the Managing Board – Rector of QyzPU Gulmira Qanay with the Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Professor of the Kazakh National Women Teacher Training University, famous conductor Zhalgasbek Begendikov.

      The head of the University thanked the master for his constant work on the training of specialists and pointed out the changes in this area.

      The department of music, where you work, has been working since 1963. The disciplines and lectures taught by teachers of the department are formed based on modern world-class best practices. We have significant results in this area. The fact that our students are the best in many international and republican art contests is evidence of that. Our talented students are making a significant contribution to the name of the University. I believe this is the result of your and your colleagues' hard work, said Gulmira Qanay.

      In turn, Zhalgasbek Begendikov touched on some issues of modern education and training of music specialists and gave specific recommendations to the head of the university.

      Zhalgasbek Begendikov was born in 1953 in Mangistau region. He graduated from the Kazakh National Conservatory in 1978. In different years he worked as a performer, conductor of the Kazakh orchestra of folk instruments, a teacher of conducting classes at the Kazakh State Conservatory, head of the Orchestra of folk instruments, conductor of the Kazakh National Academic Drama Theater named after Mukhtar Auezov. He has performed in France, Denmark, Portugal, Sweden, and China.

      Today he works as an associate professor at the Department of Music at the Kazakh National Women's Teacher Training University.

      It is worth noting that the university currently has 120 students and 1 master's degree student program in «Traditional Musical Art» and «Music» and a master's degree program in «Music».

      The annual job placement rate for graduates is 100%. Most graduates of these majors work in professional activities such as pedagogical, educational, organizational, cultural, and educational activities.

      Among the famous graduates of these specialties is one of the founders of the ensemble "Aigul", the cultural figure of Kazakhstan, teacher Galina Karamoldaeva, Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Agaysha Isagulova, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Madina Yeralieva, Honored figure of Kazakhstan Tamara Asar, famous opera soloist Dina Khamzina, singers Rosa Alkozha, Gulnur Orazymbetova, Marzhan Arapbaeva.
