The purpose of the EP: professional training of special teachers who are able to effectively carry out correctional and pedagogical activities with children with special educational needs in the educational system, social protection, and health care.

Educative activities with children with SEN:
training and education of students using innovative psychological and pedagogical methods and tools; possession of technologies for criteria-based assessment, methods of formative and summative assessment in special and inclusive education, the use of teaching and evaluation strategies in teaching children with SEN.
Social and educational activities with children with SEN:
creating favorable social and pedagogical conditions for the education and development students with special educational needs as well as providing them with psychological and pedagogical support. Modeling of personal educational trajectory throughout life for self-development and career growth in the field of special pedagogy, a focus on a healthy lifestyle to ensure full social and professional activities.
Experimental research activities:
study of scientific and technical information, domestic and foreign experience on the subject of research; implementation of research work in the field of special and inclusive education, the use of methodology and methods of scientific and pedagogical research in research activities; study and generalization of advanced pedagogical experience in teaching children with special educational needs; participation and conducting research and applied research in the field of teaching and upbringing of children with special educational needs.

Additional program Minor "Speech Therapy massage"
1.In 2018, the Department opened an office of psychological and pedagogical correction (OOPC) at the University in order to implement a practice-oriented approach to teaching. Specialists of OPPC, special educational organizations are involved as expert practitioners for reviewing and consulting graduate theses of students, conducting seminars (practical) classes, practice. Teaching staff of the Department conducts advanced training courses for specialists of the Cabinet of psychological and pedagogical correction.
2. Providing the direction of training under the program MINOR "Speech Therapy massage", carried out by university dictated by the needs of the labor market. The course content is intended for specialists with higher and (or) postgraduate, pedagogical and medical professional, postgraduate education, in addition to theoretical education, the development of practical skills and competencies for speech therapy massage is provided. The content of the educational program of the additional training direction consists of 15 academic credits.
